Why a weekly budget works better than a monthly one
A monthly budget assumes all your money arrives on the 1st. If you are paid weekly or every two weeks, some weeks carry rent and the car payment while others carry nothing, and it is easy to overspend in the "light" weeks.
A weekly budget level-loads everything. A $1,450.00 monthly rent becomes about $333.47 set aside every week. When the 1st arrives, the full rent is already waiting in its category, no matter which paycheck it came from.
